I thought I was making a trip to Surrey with some cash as that's the right price for a project, but it looks a little to rough for me. No V5, fairings don't match tank, selling on behalf of a friend, the forks are well though the yokes, cracked fairings, semi rebuilt engine. Yep its a parts bike or a big restoration task for someone, but not for me. Shame, but good luck to whoever gets it.

Apart from some very small traces of corrosion, it looks as if it just left the showroom! I'm not sure if it will sell at the 1,180,000 Yen starting price (I have seen a couple of NOS red & white 1KT models sell for around 750,000 Yen each over the past few years), but this version is quite rare.

Interesting - any idea what bike that clutch actuating mechanism comes from? It doesn't look like it comes from the 3MA4 SP or any of the contemporary TZ250 models. The cylinders say "3MA00", but the fact they have O-rings instead of a head gasket may suggest that they have been further modified. I think that Yamaha supplied hand-modified standard cylinders for the 1KT F3 kit, so perhaps it was the same for the 3MA F3 kit...? Also interesting to see it still has a kickstart lever fitted.
The seller's description is a bit sparse, so it remains to be seen whether anyone buys this incomplete engine for 380,000 Yen...
