Some damage to the top fairing indeed, then big end noise as well..

QuoteONCE DONE WOULD BE WORTH A SMALL FORTUNE.

I think the price is already there.. :o

Is the SPR the most valuable because it's the last of the breed?

Big end noise means at least a new SP crank. I'm betting there's a lot more, unless you're just wanting to flip it for profit

If you want to keep and ride, based on personal experience this will mean at least $5K in parts. DIY, of course.

I'm not familiar with the cost of bringing a dry clutch back to spec, so add that too.

Betting the price comes down after Covid.

Brief, fleeting Glory. Which of itself cannot last, but while it does is the best game of all.

£10K gets it all over the Forums and Facebook (I have seen it elsewhere). Interested buyers then call up and offer a price and you negotiate. SPRs are favoured by collectors as they are the last of the line and therefore "sorted". They also have different PVs so "must be better". If anyone buys it I have a really good top fairing for it I'd swap for a mint 93RS one ;)

Is that a standard option, hazard position on the l/h control? Not noticed that option previously  :-X

Somewhere between 95-96 headlights lost the on off switch.
My 96 RGV can not turn the lights off and also has a hazard switch instead.

I think it's pretty much only the 3xv1 that has the headlight on/off. The rest all have hazard switches. Annoying because the battery is pretty weak even without the always on headlight..

yanw

I used a switch and a headlamp extender loom to make an optional headlamp bypass out of desperation from trying to get the bike to start.

A complete SP for sale
Looks good at a very reasonable starting price.
Will be watching where this one goes...

Went for 661 000

I was watching that SP sale....
It was at 480,000 until the last 10 minutes.
Seems like a fair price for such a complete bike...and I was happy it sold for more than what I paid for mine  ;D
Market must still be OK for bikes like that

Another SP for sale, low start bid
3XV7....looks to be the real deal as well, but not quite as nice as the 3XV5 that just sold.
