All being well, I'll be there :).

Novices on these days can be dead slow, Phil. Pocket rockets is probably more appropriate for a 250 stroker on the whole.

Everyone is slow.

Cost is £139 compared to £155 for Donington

It is true I have been and track time is limited. It's more of a gathering than a track day. Donny your getting 2hrs and 20 mins v around 2hrs at Caldwell buts that 9 to 8pm

If you want to run yet bike with like minded peeps and strokers Donny is a good start.....

This is still a good weekend though but there is lots of hanging about

I think it was only the last year or two that they increased the number of groups, wasn't it? I haven't been to the last couple of these (partly because of that). I think the original was just the standard 3 group/7 session type day as I recall, which is certainly preferable to me as I'm much more interested in riding than sitting around in the paddock.

I've been to quite a few 'general' trackdays where the number of red-flags has ended up playing havoc with the running order and track-time anyway though. I remember once at Pembrey only getting 3 and half sessions all day because of the number of red flag offs. Trackdays are always a bit of a gamble in regards to weather and red-flags etc. You pays yer money and you takes yer chances...

I haven't managed to get out on track at all in the last couple of years for a variety of reasons. If I manage to get to a single trackday this year, I'll be absolutely delighted - wherever it is 8).

Most of the 2T's from the totally 2 stroke are in novices, the RGV boys have gone for the pocket rockets. I know about 15 that have already booked. I've gone in the novices as I will be taking a 250 a 500 and maybe a 750.
The day is really drawn out  with 20 mins every 2 hours. There is a break for lunch (midday ish) and break for dinner (17:00 ish). Last 2 sessions on Saturday evening are deserted as a lot of people are already on the beer

Rob and Darin, who run CBT,had a lot of people mentioning they could do with more time between sessions to rest or fettle on bikes, let's not forget most of us out there are no spring chicken and neither are our bikes and both Rob and Darin took this on board.
In 2014 I did both the Friday and Saturday sessions and very very few sessions were stopped, the Saturday track day ended at 5pm and and evening track day started at 5.30pm with modern bikes at around 7pm the whole thing was cancelled on safety grounds as all 3 ambulances were ferrying riders to hospital and none left on site. Throughout the whole 2 days CBT riders were out on track not once was anyone itaken to hospital.

I'm booked in Pocket Rockets again and bring some reliable bikes this time Phil lol :P

Aye but if you also did Donny you would be in a group with like minded peeps and that alone should reduce our groups red flags. I'll be at both. But for pure track time Donny wins. The cbt days are for chilling and chatting. I got to the point of taking my leathers off and watching last time. Cause waiting around was to long. This year I'm only taking the tz'ds as they may or may not need that extra time between sessions

I had the Aprilia and the 3XV at CBT. The 3MA and the RG were at the MSV pre 90's Cadwell classic day, and yes the RG wasn't running properly and the 3MA had done it's stuff and was already on the trailer and I couldn't be @rsed to unload it (again)

I'm now booked into the pocket rocket group on Saturday. The bike I intend to bring along is in lots of pieces at the moment
