I remember this being discussed under several topics, with comments being made about the difficulty involved in obtaining these seals. If it is of use to anyone, here is a link to the remade seal on offer from T2 Racing in Japan on Yahoo Auctions, 3200 Yen buy-it-now:

You may be able to get a better deal by contacting the shop directly via https://www.t2racing.net/ . The web-site has a 'Netshop', but that page appears to be blank!

You can get a better deal if you contact the manufacturer directly but you'll need to place a large quantity order.

Email candice@jago.com.tw

That was email of the customer service rep who helped me last time. You will need to say your a business and setup an account with them to order. Which is easy but they do orders for 100 seals i got them to agree to 50 last time. Ran $5 usd per seal and you must pay them by wire payment.

I have pictures of the seal if you go this route it costed me $250 plus the wire fee from my bank. I could have asked for more per seal but I didn't i did as a favor and broke even last time I did it.

Yeah thanks to Searick a bunch of us has a stock of center seals (-P) Interesting that T2 is now selling them individually, previously they refused to.. Then the seals popped up on yahoo from another seller for 8000 yen or something silly. I guess T2 bowed under pressure, I cant imagine that many took up their R crank rebuild at 80000yen..

Old topic granted but likely to crop up from time to time.

Just looked at T2 site, currently listing the centre seal for 3000 Yen each but 22000 Yen for the postage, shame as that makes it not so attractive  ???

Its listed as "Crank Center Seal for YAMAHA TZR250R 3XV STD/RS", is it the same part for the SPR as that's the only crank now remotely available?

The SPR / SP crank ( 3XV- 11400-12-00) is the only one available new Ron yes.I checked my receipt it was £674.48 from webbs.
I bought one of thoses 2T seals off yahoo when they were on special offer, so if you send a crank to Chris Appleby, or Grampian say, where are they getting their center seals?
How easy is it to fully rebuild an S.P crank?

thump566

Good question re Appleby / Grampian. Perhaps keep our ears open for anyone going to Japan post Covid restrictions and ask them to bring back a bundle if the only drawback is the carrier charges? Just a thought.

Vince at Fondseca is offering these now, too: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/254821922417?fbclid=IwAR17qdam2xo98U3ZT1w-r9EX2O7WWosrvLfVKryGed7cFZjv7EuO5Fw5UiE

Is the seal & bearing the same part fitment for both the R/RS and SP crankshafts please ?

No, the SP/SPR crank uses a different centre seal and bearing. The above is just for the R/RS type crank.
