yeah I think he did, he would need to jam the PV half way to get decent power, and not cause overheating.

TZM150 questions
I'm planing to buy TZR250 3XV china fairing for a TZR125 4FL project.
125 Headlight looks the same as the 3XV in shape but the 3XV is less high => 125 head light will not fit.

Maybe TZM150 will suit the fairing.
European TZR50 early models 1998-2000 may be  like TZM as the 2 bikes share a lot of parts.

Questions :

- Can owners make some measurements ?
- What type of bulbe is used in the TZM (TZR50 is BA20D 35w/35w ) ?

I forget what it is now I just remember updating it to led's.

But the parts numbers it listed in my parts book are :

2lm-H4314-00 for the bulb
4AP-H4310-00 for the entire head light assembly. 4ap is just the tzm model designation. May not be model specific

I found these Chinese fairing for tzm very recently. I also found a shop in Malaysia that sells tzm 150 fairing kits and petrol tanks. The fairing was supposed to be oem Yamaha but it was by like some long time Yamaha shop Chong leuong Yamaha.

It wasn't expensive like $75 for the tank $170 for the fairing.

Yes I've also found the china copy but more expensive than Malaysia (but finding a seller who ships oversea !!!).

Is the bulbe an H4 type ? We'll check the ref too.

Look like an H4 type with 45w/45w power for low and high beams

TZM150 headlight maybe an alternative to TZR250 3XV one.

This was the website with the fairing and gas tanks. I contacted them once awhile back if they would ship to me in English and they replied back that they could.

Scroll down towards the bottom the fairing kit is 399 myr it's even lower now said like $78 usd. I bought a pipe from Malaysia from this exhaust company. The pipe was only like $75. But the shipping was like $150.

The bulbs are P43t, indeed they are H4 but rated 35W/35W, friendlier to the reflectors or otherwise a higher wattage halogen would burn a hole.

Hong Leong Yamaha is the distributor of Yamaha motorcycles in Malaysia. The parts are manufactured locally, or Thailand, but older OE parts are Japanese. An example would be the headlamp unit, which was originally Koito but now HM (Thailand).

There are many exhaust manufacturers here that were involved in road racing - AHM, TS racing, GL racing, SHM, etc. I find the one with overall length matching the original exhaust provides better power than the shorter ones.

I want to see if TZM150 (TZR50 European) headlight will fit an TZR250 3XV fairing.

i have difficulty to find fuel sender unit of tzm150.. do you have any recommendatrion of alternate part?
the original part number of tzm is 4AP-8572-00
i look from china there a lot of person that sell itu but im not sure for its quality..

and i have a few part of tz250g race version.. some is second part and some is brand new..
i help my friend that ex Chief of yamaha Racing Indonesia 80's-90's to sell it...

I tried to sign up for shopee before. It won't let me because I'm not in the country. It won't even let me get past entering my phone number.

If I could get signed up for it would be awesome. But it would probably reject my mailing address.

So far all I've been able to get is a yy pang racing exhaust. But I bought it from them directly brand new.

I've also found the video commercial that goes with this advert. Tzm highway star!
