I took the TZ/TZR hybrid to Anglesey and it went quite well :-)

Well done. Glad to see our bike out doing what they should do. You kept them all at bay. Narrow track for passing. Better get them done quickly. Follow for a lap and you seem to know when to pass. Will get my recent Sunday event up soon.

Nice one Phil - I can see why you put the camera on the back! Good to have a clear track by being quick.

The Saturday was using a GoPro 4 Session (the cube) and Sunday a GoPro8 with image stabilisation. The 4 loops every 12 mins, the 8 is limited to 5 mins of HD video. The mount on the back of the TZ is old & loose so the 4 can't really cope with it wobbling about.

I use to run a Go Pro. It finally fell off at an event. I now secure the mount solid with a bolt and then run a piece of safety wire or small zip ties to secure it. Cameras are not cheap and i have seen one break a guys face shield as it bounced down the track. I switched to a Garmin VIRB. It is used a lot in air planes. Nice part is the program has template too use depending if it is bikes, snowboarding, motorcycles, running, or aviation. On track it will show track, lap times, fastest laps, speed, braking, the roll gauge i use for my lean angle, and it Bluetooths to my Polar heart rate monitor. I use a 64 card so that is not an issue on video. The battery I will just automatically change every few session. And it is one flip of a switch to turn it on or off. Did you see the video I posted? Well all of them are with the Garmin.

It's odd how the GoPro8 seems to slow everything down Here's another session on the full circuit https://youtu.be/aI49ehlN4bE?t=27

Hi Reverend. Here's a thought: The wide angle lens on your camera would add to the perception of images appearing to be "slower". Or, the new, more solid mount removed the intensity of the perception of the image. That added to the lens effect would definitely make your footage seem to be slower.

Also, the frame rate of the recorded image may not have been properly interpreted by your editing software. Not likely, but worth mentioning.

No worries. We all know you were hauling much ass.

Brief, fleeting Glory. Which of itself cannot last, but while it does is the best game of all.

Cheers Steve. I'll compare the settings on the different cameras.

Another thing I have noticed is with the GoPro 8 pointing forward and moving towards, it recognises the horizon and does it's thing where it keeps the image more horizontal, where as pointing backwards moving away from the horizon, it tends to just follow the angle of lean, like the less sophisticated GoPro 4

Rev. While cool that the GP 8 has an auto horizon function, it's being done digitally. That means pixels are being scrambled to achieve the effect. If it were me I'd turn off that auto-horizon correction function in favor potentially gaining resolution.

If you like the effect, then my opinion isn't riding your bike.

Go fast. Have fun.

Just watched the second video. Much better mount and stabilization. The video looks fine to me. Shooting backwards just show the pace of the other riders and they are just slow. Having fun I am sure but slow. Throw a fast rider on a bike and look backwards would be different. Looks like you have ridden there a bit. Those other guys seem to be out for a Sunday ride. Do you all do class room stuff. Most appear not to know what an apex is. Looks like a beautiful circuit with the views. What was the temperature that weekend? Always like seeing our bikes out. Wish I could of put my TZR on track but will never happen with someone else owning it. But some buddies and I are going to Laguna Seca for a race in mid July. Keep the shiny side up.
