Managed to pick this up with a friends help.
Working on getting it back to stock.

Already did the front brake master.
Now on to the disc, & rear fender.

Need to source them.

front disc is mechanically identical to the an older fzr1000 (89-95) unit except the hat is gold vs silver, just fyi.  fzr400 is the same, not sure where you'd find a NEW one if you are trying to make it perfect.

id suggest this:

if you want to sell the aftermarket disc when you get it changed, hit me up on 2sw.  8)

An identical front disc was fitted to the TDR250 and to all FZR250s before 1989 (i.e. 2KR-based models). If you don't mind secondhand parts, you should be able to find one fairly easily.

I think that later (1988 onwards) SRX400 and SRX600 models used the same disc, albeit with a silver carrier instead of gold. However, please confirm the diameter and offset before you buy anything! I'm pretty sure that 1986 and 1987 TZ250s also used the same disc...and supposedly also the contemporary YZR500.

Just be aware that some of the FZR discs might have steel carriers. My 3xv is currently running US model FZR 400 discs mated to the stock, aluminum alloy TZR carriers.

A bit of work, but worth the results.

Brief, fleeting Glory. Which of itself cannot last, but while it does is the best game of all.

I will probably keep the front disc on until a good one comes along here or on Ebay

i see no real reason to change it. if it bothers you that bad, take it off and get the hat ceracoated.
