This head came off a racebike.  Quite aggressive modifications to the head.  Looking to get some thoughts from the forum.  The combustion chamber has been reduced in size by roughly 8mm.  dims in pics.  Compression is def very high.  How dangerous is this head to run?  Possible prior owner was running race gas.  We are at relatively high altitude of 3500ft.

Do they sell 110 or 114 leaded race gas in your area? Because that's probably what it will need.
Mounted to stock ported cylinders.

It will give it more bottom mid and probably go flat up top. Unless the cylinders where opened up and ported to match for more top end.
Plus the added wear on the piston rings.

I would shelve that head. Be foolish to try n run it on pump or avgas on a street bike.

Two things: i) the squish band looks to have been narrowed dramatically and ii) do you intend to run o-rings in place of a head gasket?
Smarter people than me will tell you the effect of a narrower squish, but surely - o-rings or not - planting that head on stock barrels will give you a rather odd-shaped combustion chamber...

I'm with SeaR1ck,

What is that blue remembered haze...?
