Hi everyone,

The left‑hand crank seal is leaking on my 3ma— more of a weep than a full leak. I've asked around locally and I'm getting mixed answers. Some people say the seal can simply be pulled out and replaced, while others insist it requires a full engine strip‑down.

Can anyone shed more light on what's actually involved?
If in doubt, bore it out.

If it's like my 3xv and I'm pretty sure it is.

You have to split the cases because there is a grove. That runs around the center of the seal that fits into the cases.
