Hi everyone,

My 1KT have lots of smoke when the engine runs.
The smoke comes from the left side of the exhaust only.
The engine oil(not 2T) escape very quick.
I think the smoke is from the engine oil.

I wanna ask what happen to it?

Thanks!

Paul

You are right! The crank seal is worn.  Thank you!
BTW, where can I buy a new one? The dealer in Hong Kong has no stock.

Any Yamaha shop should be able to get the seals.
Or try http://yambits.co.uk/ for aftermarket ones

Do a google search with OEM part number and you'll find some sellers.

PS: you'll need to open the crank cases to change the seals  :(

Norbo at RDLC Crazy will sell you genuine seals and gaskets cheaper than dealer. From what I've read on the RD Aircooled forum the pattern seals soften up and leak unlike the genuine one's,he does stock earlier TZR parts contact him for parts and prices.
