Hello everyone 1st of all forgive me for my English 
2 st i want to buy a 3XV yamaha and i don't now what to check at the bike before i buy it..
Please give me some advises...

Applicable to all 2 strokes old bikes...(not if the seller is one of your friend)

For the engine be prepared to :
- dismantle the engine
- control the crank, bearing, crank seals...
- control cylinder and change at least rings (pistons!!)
- new top end gaskets

For the chassis:
- control free plays
- check for rust zone...

Depend on where you live but remember 3XV, 3MA are Japanese market bikes so parts are sometime not easy to find.
3XV are restricted bikes like 3MA so to over pass the limits then porting, carb. tuning and programmable ignitions are to way to go

But good point you're on the right forum.

It's not good... :o  If it's sat for two years, it's safe to say it's not running now then right?

Where was it stored...outside?  Moisture can easily enter the cylinders, cases, etc and cause problems.
If your not mixing gas, your not hauling ass!

Stored in close garage and cover whit sheets

My RD500 was stored 1 year in a garage in the south est of France (normally nice hot weather not much of moisture in the air) and then crank bearing was making noise...

2 strokes storage should be done by filling the engine with oil (even cheap gearbox oil) and move manually the engine by hand.

It seems that the 3XV has been well stored so good be a nice bike to look at and a nice project to have her on the road again.

You should have started by the price 500€ for a complete 3XV which was running 2 years ago.
Engine not locked ? just go for it... ;D

You'll have winter to check it carefully with the forum help.

PS: even selling some parts at forum's prices will cover the buying price.

That is a bargin in like, major league bargain.
Go for it.
And if you don´t know where the bike is coming from, a strip down is the only right way, in my opinion.
