MEMBERS PROFILES (fill in your location)

I notice more and more new(ish) members are not bothering to fill in their location(country) on their profile and are soon asking for parts,services etc. and expecting quick replies.
Normally the first reply they get is,"WHERE ARE YOU LOCATED"
The long established members and those from the previous tzr forums make the time and effort to fill in their profile properly.
I would like to see all members fill in their profiles FULLY before being allowed to start posting messages.

Can I add that if you also put your location in the "Personal Text" section it shows it under your name when viewing the posts. This means the old boys don't even have to click on your profile to see where you are (it's their age).

Thanks yanw for your reply as the location under your name is what i (and every member) would like to see when viewing their posts,such as yours and mine.
Your reply also might help members on "how to" fill in their profile.

It's misleading. I filled in my location on my profile right away, but it didn't appear until I added it to "personal text".

Hmm...I did specify my location when I joined and I'm sure it was initially displayed with my posts. However, I now notice that my location is no longer shown! I've added it in the "personal text" section and it has now re-appeared.

Strangely enough the forum software doesn't have a feature to show the location under the usernames...

The workaround is to put it in the personal text area.

There are add-ons that you can install to do this but I've found they tend to break more things.. So basically I'm hoping the next version will have it built in

I've added a feature to show location automatically if you have added it to your profile You can now remove it from the personal text area as it will display double if you don't.
