Just had my petrol Tank off and I looked in the coolant expansion tank and there us a oily tide mark.  Noticed a spot of oil aswell.  Level was quite low.

Will flush and replace tomorrow.

Should I be worried?

Sounds like the head gasket is weeping.

They can get quite grimy. I would flush it out, replenish and keep an eye on it.

On second thoughts. It might take a while for oil in the coolant to get to the expansion tank. The test will be what the coolant looks like when you flush the radiator.

Taken expansion tank off and cleaned it.  I have also changed the coolant.  There was no sign of oil in the coolant.  I will keep an eye on the level.

Thanks Johh
