SP vs SPR

I have two 94 SP's both fully unrestricted by SP Tadao racing team. That team also run a SPR and according to the mechanic you can get more power with the SPR engine.

I was looking at a picture of an SPR that was totalled yesterday it was mint too beforehand  . Heaps of good bits on it too, a car ran up the back of it. I will try and get the picture sent to me.

Apart from the extra power valves what are the differences between the SP and SPR top end? The race bike I'm getting has SPR heads but not sure about the barrels because he didnt check the number for me. Can you mix and match the two? The whole bike may have started life as an SPR.

Did he give you a frame number so that you can check the year ?

On my bike (spr) the barrels are 50's . The heads and barrels look like TZ items .

No he didnt get the frame number but being a race bike anyway who knows what motor would be in there. I suppose I have to wait and see what turns up
