Exhaust modification

Hi  my exhausts  have had some work done any one got any idea what modification that would have been done

Looks like they cut it open to have a peek inside. I don't think there is anything to remove from the pipe. No one on the forum ever mentioned doing that mod.

Iv got a set of pipes that have been cut in an almost identical fashion to yours .
They also shortened the overall length by about an inch.
As ed mentioned they were probably hopeing to find some class of restriction.

If its been shortened then it would be the 105 mod probably, if its just cut open like the first one then maybe they wanted to remove the wire mesh on the inside of the pipe walls?

It's had both mods done  by previous owner .
Cut open and shortened .
I don't know if it worked but I do know  it's not pretty ?.
