Hi
I understand that the Ohlins rear shock listed above was built for the 3XV.
Firstly what is the difference regarding the rear shock between a standard R & a SPR.
Secondly these Ohlins shocks are rarer than horse Pooh as I understand is there another model that is the same.
Thirdly anyone got one or know of one for sale
Thanks Simon

As far as I know the spr has the clicker adjustment the bodies are probably the same. Only the certain years sp had the alloy body.

I wouldn't bother with an old ohlins today unless you really want it. Most of the ones I've seen pop up over the years. Go for the price of a brand new shock. And you still have to rebuild it.

You'd be better off buying a new yss or even better a nitron rear shock. Easier to get parts for them should you need them. Seen some stuff saying ohlins is discontinuing parts for older shocks. So they are getting harder to rebuild. Not all shops equal  on rebuilding them.

If I could buy any shock for my spr it be the nitron with built-in internal reservoir. Friend put one on his rvf400. It's beautiful makes an ohlins look second rate.

The yss is also a great choice will cost less than the nitron.
