Petrol around the UK is different. I believe that there are five petrol distribution centres and can you say for certain that each has EXACTLY the same blend/mix.
As for issues with bikes, things to consider are how often you ride, how much fuel you put in a tank to ride and how much is left in the tank. Where you keep it, indoors garage, shed or even a house. Is it kept outside covered uncovered.
All these things are a part of the potential possibility that failure can (and will) happen.

(Andy) I use ethanol free storage pluss 99 Ron, 3 year+ shelf life.

My tzr had both carb seals break down on the emulsion tube, and the carb bottom seal go. £375 to repair. So as I pay about £250 for 50 ltrs fuel a year yes it is worth it. Knowing I can get the bike out and within 6 kicks she starts and runs like it did when leaded fuel was available.

It's your choice what you feed your pony but I feed it the best she deserves.

try this. 1 oz premix per 2 gallons fuel.  let sit, you'll be amazed how well it preserves the fuel. I've set it for 2+ years w no change.  I'm sure this will help w the uk fuels as well.  common trick here for large displacement touring bikes with carbs. yes, 4 strokes.

You'd like to think so but unfortunately Uk and Us fuels are very different. Yes there are both petrol based but that's where the similarities end. The additives are very different. (some US additives are banned in the UK and Europe).
