Hi,
I've tried searching site with no luck.
I have a standard 2MY (rebuilt) running a couple of aftermarket chambers.I want to know from someone running Jackals, JT's etc what carb settings they are running.
I've initially set it at a #240 main 22.5 pilot and raised the needle one clip
In order to speed things up surely someone is running a similar setup.
I get the feeling these things may have been rich standard??

Any info appreciated.

My 2AW/2XT bitsa (engine is standard 2AW apart from 2XT carbs, conversion to run on premix and O-ringed cylinder head with slightly lower compression) has Jackal pipes and standard jetting. I can't claim that the set-up is 'optimum', but I've had no problems.
It is my general impression that the Jackals are 'road' pipes and are designed to work on standard engines with no changes required. Of course, once you start modifying other things (e.g. derestricting the air intake system), some jetting adjustments will likely be required.
If your air intake system is somehow non-standard, I'd recommend converting the carbs to F3 spec - this uses commonly available atomisers which should make mid-throttle jetting easier to adjust.

Regards,
James
