My friend David R has some excellent 2XT powervalves and so we are going to scan them and create a CNC file.
That will allow us to produce billet powervalves.
They don't have to be exact replicas though. We can enhance them if anyone has some good ideas.
So how could they be improved? And who would want some if we make a batch?

Last time I open my engine mine looks fine but later in the future...

Do you have a rough idea of price to market of the kit ?

Do you think those billet valve could be fitted to 1KT  cylinder to add exhaust boot ports ?

If yes this could enlarge the 2XT billet YPVS "market"...

Maybe a limited market outside japan but maybe we could contact people in Japan too.
I've been in contact with Tosh-Tec in the past...

They won't fit the 1KT.
Not sure how much they will be but happy to send them to Japan.
They are off being scanned now.
The current plan is that the billet ones will be an improved design.
So you might want a pair for your bike too.

how do you scan parts? I always had this question...
3d scanner?

mboddy

Yes, we have access to an engineer with a 3D scanner.  :) :) :) :)

Cool, can you make pistons the 3xv? ;)

Any plans to make a set for the 2MA/1KT/TDR - would be a much bigger market for those?

I will talk to the others to see what they think and then get back to you.
If so we may also do 3MA-00.

Also, I am working with Philip in UK to produce powervalve bushes.
He has done 1KT in the past and we are currently perfecting the 2XT bushes used in 2XT and 3MA.

This is still progressing.
We have a CAD Designer and a Mechanical Engineer currently working on the improved 2XT design.

Some pictures of the 2XT valves in the early stages. They will be a hybrid of the 3MA and 2XT valve.

2XT left cylinder with 3ma bushes fitted. The bronze bush 90380-26191 and the standard style bush (same as 2XT centre bushes) 2XT-1131F-01. There is a gap between the cable housing and the cylinder, but the o-ring should seal fine in the cylinder. When using the hybrid valves a spacer will be required to fill the gap.

Hi

Looking good, any idea when they will be available for sale

Thanks

Russ B

Looking good. Are you going to do drawings/models for the 3ma types or is this purely a hybrid design? I see you are using solid works, i'm  becoming abit handy with that software as i use it most days at work, cracking piece of kit tbh  :)

The 2XT and 3MA valves have been modeled. They were done seperately first. So we should be able to produce 2XT, 3MA and the hybrid valves. The Hybrid valves will use the 3MA outer end features with the centre bolt relocated to come from the outside. It will also be offset like the 3MA so it doesn't leave a lump in the middle of the valve and need relieving when running a ported exhaust or F3 tuning. This will also hopefully prevent the inner ends wearing like on the 2XT valves in one of the above pictures. The only problem we have is not having access to any 3ma cylinders for test fitting. We might have to send some plastic models to someone to test before any billet ones were made. If time and money permits we might try and make a valve for the 2MA cylinder as previously suggested. Even if you didn't create the relief for auxillary exhaust ports it would still be good to offset the bolt for F3 spec cylinders.

Top work. So you will be getting plastic sla's made rather than machined ally ones first.? I'm sure there will be someone on here thats has some 3ma cylinders laying around that could help you out for trial fitting.
