Are that Jackal pipes? And do you run them with R barrels?

They look just like my Jackal pipes, and I'm running mine on R barrels.  I see a dry clutch on that motor, so at a minimum, that is an RS.

Yes it is a jackal or you call them SP tadao Jackals. Back in the days when i was illiterate on 3xv i bought  it without knowing its for an R when i found it to late to ship it back to japan lol so i made it work to fit a in SP. I had my friend that works on machine shop made me a custom spacer .

LOL!!  I did the same thing - didn't know what I was buying. :o  But I got lucky and my pipes and manifolds were made for R cylinders  ;)

Thanks...I love my little mongrel.  Note the missed matched body work in two different shades of white with the red striping on the seat panel in a different direction than the red striping on the side fairing!  I don't care...eventually it will "look right", for now I just enjoy wringing it out, as it runs right! ;D

I still want a dry clutch  ::)  But I'll bet that's an expensive swap.  I had to replace the dry clutch on my 91 NSR and that was around $500 USD!  Salty!

Oh i know what you mean on the clutch. My clutch is already slipping and after looking at rsc it'll cost me almost the same price as yours .

So are there 2 different flanges for these pipes available?

I have the SP flanges:

They are not round and will fit to the D shape of the SP outlets, correct?

If so, does anybody have some which are the round type to sell or to swap with mine SP flanges? Are there any pics how the R flanges look like?

Juergen

rvt2002

Actually 3 types r,sp and spr. I believed the spr has different shapetoo. If you were a year early i would have trade it to you with no hesitation. If you want to sell it i might be interested since the one i got is not perfectly fit.

r model dont have a flange they just bolt up to the barrel old style
well mine do anyway ,bottom pipe is std sp and has a spacer on it
top just bolts streight up to the barrel

Got a bit confused, does the R model have a flange (may be a bit different shape?) or not. For the pipes I have a least any flange is needed, no chance for "bolt on" to the barrel..

But I found a pic which potentially shows the R model flange?

maccas

Yes juergen they need a flange. Gary is talking about stock pipes not sp tadao jackals.

jcsnook

I think so...I believe Martin77 models his 3XV pipes after them.
