Ace cafe 2 stroke day

Any southern forum members going to ace cafe 2 stroke day this coming Sunday??

Was definitely going, it was the target event upon completing my 3XV refurb however that has now gone slightly down the tube. Absolutely gutted but enjoy the day

Almost rebuilt actually but cant select any gear without it stalling when the engine is running. Have removed and refitted the clutch again, stiction evident following winter engine rebuild but still no joy. Next step is to check the clutch alignment arm and the alignment of the basket with the side casing removed. All the gears can be selected when the engine is dead but attempting to start in gear with the clutch pulled in achieves noting except a sweat and weary leg

Yeah bugger , I did read your other thread, that's frustrating eh,  be all the more satisfying when its up and running can get yourself down to the next one.

Unfortunately not, as usual was just too busy with other nonsense to go, ( working on my house) planned to have a,b & c done in time to take the sunday off....it wasnt....grrrr. Maybe we should organise a forum trip there next time if anyone fancies it, do they only do one a year?

Hopefully not hijacking thread - what about a 2 stroke meet at abergavenny cafe or another location ? I would love to do ace cafe as well but would drive hire van the most of way then ride the last bit

The Aircooled Rd Rally in Derby is a good two stroke event, and TZR's would be more than welcome.

Both venues would be a fair hike from me so the van/bike scenario sounds more promising as the bike hasn't done any mileage yet since the rebuild and needs a number of more local shake-down runs first
