I'm trying to  carbs setting a r1z and it's impossible for me. I have disassembled all the carbs and I have reassembled them with a new carburateor repair kit and the bike does not work properly. How do I solve this?

Hi and welcome. Be sure to introduce yourself and fill in your location as it helps members to help you.

Was it genuine parts or a third party kit? I have had issues with third party kits in the past. The first step would be to clean and fit your old carb internals and see if the problem remains.

Sorry about that,
I am Spanish and I have a R1Z and I proud o it.
Before I disassembled the carbs the bike has a unstable idle and some times it stoped. The carb repair kit is not Yamaha original but if I assemble the carbs with the old and with the new spares the bike does not work properly and I do not know how I can do to carb setting.
Thanks

No problem, I was in Madrid myself at the weekend  ;)

Take a look at the 2MA workshop manual (http://pure2strokespirit.net/redandblueftp/download/2MA/2MA_workshop_manual.pdf) section 6.1 and check your float hieght and fuel levels. Next I would check for air leaks around the inlet manifolds (between the carbs and the engine) by spraying carb cleaner on/around them and seeing if the engine picks up in speed.

Try that and let us know. I am sure one of the other members will be along soon with other checks for you to try.

You Will need to check the slow running circuit, when you hold the carb upright with the float bowl off, the thin brass tube pointing down often gets blocked, poke it with a thin piece of wire all the way down, then look in the bowl where that tube goes into a gallery and out into the bowl that will also need unblocking.

Thanks Yank but I had looked this before and that was not the problem but the next time you come to Madrid I will invite you to a beer, just tell me!
Kev, I have not looked what you say, as soon as I have time I look it and I will tell you something because this problem has me crazy.
Thank you very much both of you
