Finally after 3 years, I have started to get my 2MA up and running. After removing the carbs, and stripping down, there is a cardboard gasket, that is not included in any gasket set, and it's not even in the manual! Any idea where to find it?

What is that blue remembered haze...?

Kev

Seen them on eBay at £6 but just gone up to £8.

Those gaskets come in some of the Keyster carb rebuild kits and can also (sometimes) be found listed separately on Yahoo Auctions. They can also be bought from SDR200.com (https://www.sdr200.com/?pid=54785216). Alternatively, if you are persistent and careful, you can make them from gasket paper or cereal box using scissors, scalpel and leather punch.

As well as assorted Yamahas, the TM28SS was also used on the Kawasaki KR250 (1984-85), so this may yield some additional results from internet searches.

Interesting site James, I would loved to have owned a whippet in my youth. Prices are really good on this site, I just wonder what the postage from Japan to the UK is like. Thanks for your input.

Kev; He sends parts overseas via the JapanPost EMS service. If you want to order something specific, I'm sure he will give you an estimate of the postage cost on request.
