Having another push on my 2MA, I've been waiting for my actually wanted  (and needed) christmas present, a Ultra Sonic Cleaner!
Decided to strip down the carbs completely, which included splitting each carb, basically the front of the slide chamber, it did not too pretty so looked like it needed it and it gave me better access for a full on clean.
The thing is there is obviously a gasket and I don't recall seeing one anywhere, Fowlers micro fische parts pictures don't list one as if to say "don't split these apart" and Yambits are equally devoid of anything.
My idea was to give the carbs another clean up in the vapour blaster, then give them a chemical clean to try and get the crap out of the deep chambers before finishing them off in the Ultra sonic cleaner and if that don't do it......well I'm stumped.
Does anyone know where to get the missing gasket? or do I put them back together and do everything else as planned or make a gasket out of a cereal box hoping that it works with petrol.
I am sure I am not the first to completely strip their carbs for a 100% refurb.

That is Exactly what I need! Thank you very much.
Why are these not available through genuine Yamaha Dealers or Yambits?

Great find, just stripped and ultrasonic'd mine, emulsion tubes were disgusting - but bike had been running ok on them.

New tubes / needles / (larger) air jet so should run well when engine rebuilt.

Will grab a couple of these whike i can for future eventualities.

they were never available from yamaha as one of the 6 screws on each carb is a anti-tamper screw so yamaha did not want owners pulling them apart.
