Not surprised got out bidded on the last one and I pressed my limit of $950 usd which was well over 100k yen. I thought i had it then last min some how got out bidded. Someone spent that 1 grand to beat me. That was like a couple weeks ago Still stuck with having to use that damn ugly tank cover for now.

Starting to ponder maybe have one made brand new. It's getting about equal in terms of costs.

I saw a used set of intake rubbers for a VJ23 SP on Yahoo sell for over 120,000JPY...2 used intakes.  WTF
The carbs and lower airbox complete, sold for about 110,000JPY....hard to believe what these parts are going for
Harder to believe that two intakes are worth more than a complete carb set up...

Yeah it's stupid, it's almost certainly going to an oversea bidder I reckon - the proxy bidding services have created quite a 'bubble' for the sellers in Japan!

Rick you should be able to get a tank for less than top dollar, maybe with a scrape and some rust inside.. The ones with rust inside always sell for less and it's pretty easy to de-rust so no sweat.

So I won this gas tank it looks pretty good overall. It may have a small area that has a small smooth dent.
Not near as much as the last one went for.
